The Rings, The Bears, and the Bacon with Jen Gibson
This EP features Jennifer Gibson an internationally recognized sports dietitian and applied physiologist with 18 years of experience in elite sport.
She is the founder and CEO of Elite Eats Inc which offers high-performance nutrition consulting to athletes around the world. She is also the co-founder of Performance Nutrition Professionals, which provides mentorship & training in performance nutrition to practitioners.
Jennifer spent 7 seasons as the lead sports dietitian and sport science coordinator for the Chicago Bears Football Club. Between 2006-2015 she was a senior sport dietitian and applied physiologist with the United States Olympic Committee and within the Canadian Olympic sport system.
Her consulting work has included numerous professional and Olympic NSOs. She has traveled to over 20 countries to service her athletes and has been a part of 2 Olympic Games, 2 Pan American Games, the Canada Winter Games, the World Championships, and many other professional events.
Jen served as an adjunct sports nutrition lecturer for the University of Colorado and has been active in research, having published 9 peer-reviewed scientific papers and 7 book contributions. Jennifer currently resides in Colorado Springs, Colorado with her “J-Crew” – husband Jason, daughter Joy, and 2 giant dogs, Juneau and Jackson. I was pleased to have her on the show, enjoy!
