Leave Your Mark
A Thistle for a Rose with Bob Stewart
This episode is a chat with Bob Stewart. Bob is a physiotherapist currently working as the head of the medical department for the English Rugby Senior Men’s team. Born in Scotland and after a rugby career of his own in New Zealand he found his place as a physiotherapist in his chosen sport of Rugby.
From 1998 to 2006 he worked for Glasgow Rugby and the Scottish National Team. In 2006 he moved to the English Premiership with Worchester followed by nine years with Gloucester Rugby in the Premiership as head of medical.
In 2016 he took on his present role as the lead of medical for the English National team. Throughout his life in Rugby, he has been a husband to Ailie, and a dad to Maya and Rohan. I really enjoyed this chat with an accomplished team therapist. Enjoy!
